The secondary section is girls only.
In Key Stage 3 (Years 7 - 9) students follow the National Curriculum for England and Wales, (which includes a broad-based range of compulsory subjects,)
as well as the Ministry of Education Arabic and Islamic Studies curriculum. Towards the end of Year 9, girls and their parents will make decisions about GCSE study in Years 10 & 11.
They will all continue with the ‘core’ subjects (English, Mathematics, Science, Arabic & Islamic Studies), but will also choose three other subjects from a choice of options.
Throughout each year, student progress is assessed in each subject and there are two formal examination sessions.
Results are measured against National Curriculum attainment targets, so as to ensure adequate preparation for external examinations at Key stage 4.
At the end of Year 9, students take CIE Checkpoint Tests in English, Mathematics and Science; these are international standardised tests,
which assess student aptitude for IGCSE study in Years 10 and11.
Along with academic progress, we place great importance on personal and social development.
Girls are encouraged to show good judgement, self-discipline and leadership and to nurture individual skills and talents.
We offer a range of after-school clubs so that students can pursue broader interests.
