Al Shohub School admits boys and girls from FS 2 until Year 4 (4-8 years on entry); and girls only from Year 5 until Year 12.
We operate an open admissions procedure. The aim of our admissions procedure is to ensure that children who wish to join the school are able to be happy, fulfilled and successful within our academic, pastoral and cultural environment. We look for students who are prepared to make the most of the opportunities on offer and are well-motivated to succeed.
Prospective students and parents must be prepared to work with the School for the good of the school community. They should accept our aspirations, routines, and regulations and be prepared to work with us in order to follow and achieve them.
Written entrance assessments in English Language, Arabic Language and Mathematics are conducted for new entrants into Year 2 until Year 10. We do not usually accept direct entrants into Year 11 as this is the second year of the IGCSE examination program.
Entry into the sixth form is based upon previous academic and examination performance, a good academic reference from the Principal of the current school and an interview with senior academic staff.
For entry into FS or Year 1, students are accepted according to the date the student registration form is accepted by the School.
New entrants to Al Shohub School, including those transferring within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and those from outside, are placed in the age-appropriate year group. Academic staff will use professional judgment to place students in appropriate classes according to their age on entry.
For other information including the school fee and informal visits to the school can be arranged by telephoning the Registrar on 02 5559 995 or email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
