Welcome from the Principal
It is with great pleasure and pride that I welcome you to Al Shohub Private School.
I believe every child deserves to feel safe, to belong and to be known and valued. When children feel secure and cared for, they gain the confidence to ask questions, take on challenges anddiscover what they can achieve. At Al Shohub, we want our children to be happy in school, proud of who they are and ambitious for their futures.
Our school is deeply rooted in the culture, language and heritage of the UAE. We celebrate the values and traditions that are important to our families and help children develop a strong sense of national identity. We also encourage them to understand the wider world, respect others andrecognise the contribution they can make to their communities. Our children bring curiosity, kindness and a wonderful sense of possibility to school each day.
From Nursery to Year 6, our approach brings together academic learning, wellbeing and character development. We want every child to build strong foundations in reading, writing andmathematics, while developing creativity, independence and the courage to try something new. We recognise that children learn in different ways and at different paces. By getting to know each child, we support them to make progress and experience the joy of achievement.
We value meaningful experiences that connect learning to real life, opportunities to care for others and the environment, and the achievements children bring to us from outside school. These experiences help children discover their interests, develop aspirations and prepare for the next stage of their learning.
Over many years in education, I have seen what children can achieve when schools and families work closely together. I want Al Shohub to be a place where parents feel welcome, listened to andinvolved in their children’s journey. Through open communication and shared aspirations, we can help every child flourish.
Our aim is that our children leave Al Shohub with treasured memories, secure friendships, pride in their identity and the confidence to embrace new opportunities. Above all, we want them to know that they are capable of achieving great things.
I look forward to welcoming you to our school.
